This Privacy Policy explains what personal information KrewLink collects from customers, crew members, studio owners, and equipment owners, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using KrewLink, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Information we collect
Account and profile data: name, email, phone number, password, profile photo, and provider-specific details such as skills, portfolio, listings, and availability.
Booking data: booking requests, dates, locations, messages exchanged through the platform, and reviews.
Payment data: card or wallet details are processed directly by our payment partner, PayMob — KrewLink stores only transaction references and status, never full card numbers.
Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and log data collected automatically when you use the platform.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate the marketplace: creating and verifying accounts, matching bookings, processing payments, sending booking and account notifications, providing customer support, and improving platform safety and performance.
Legal basis and data protection law
Where Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) applies, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, the necessity of processing to perform a booking contract, or our legitimate interest in operating and securing the platform.
Sharing with third parties
We share information with the payment processor PayMob to complete transactions, with hosting and infrastructure providers to operate the platform, and with the other party to a booking as needed to fulfil it (e.g. a customer and the crew member they booked). We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
Cookies
KrewLink uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features.
Data retention
We retain account and booking data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting hello@krewlink.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards — including encrypted transmission and access controls — to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
KrewLink is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if we become aware that we have, we will delete it.
