Overview
This Equipment Policy applies to every piece of gear listed for rental on KrewLink — cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, grip, drones, and other production equipment — and to the owners who list it.
Listing accuracy
- Specifications, included accessories, and current condition must be described accurately and kept up to date.
- Photos must show the actual item being rented, not stock or manufacturer images, once the listing is active.
- Set your availability calendar accurately — accepting a booking for equipment that is already out on rental is treated as a provider cancellation.
Handover and return
- Equipment must be handed over clean, fully charged where applicable, and with all listed accessories included.
- Both parties should document the equipment's condition (photos or video) at handover and at return to support any future damage claim.
- Equipment must be returned at the agreed time and location; late returns are subject to the late fee shown on the listing.
Damage and loss
Renters are responsible for equipment lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear during the booking period. Claims must be filed through the platform within 48 hours of the scheduled return time, with supporting photos and the handover documentation. KrewLink support mediates disputed claims using the evidence submitted by both parties.
Maintenance and safety
Owners are responsible for keeping listed equipment in safe, working order and must remove a listing immediately if an item becomes unsafe or non-functional, rather than waiting for a renter to report it.
Insurance
Where KrewLink offers optional rental protection at checkout, its coverage and exclusions are shown before payment. Equipment rented without protection is covered only by this policy's damage and loss terms above.
